Public Equity
COR Capital manages investment vehicles that make non-control investments in securities of high-yield equity issuers. COR seeks to generate attractive and stable total returns from current income and capital gains driven by growth in dividends. We preserve capital via hedging and portfolio insurance designed to mitigate equity and credit market volatility as well as issuer-specific risks. We invest in equity, debt and convertible securities using relative-value and event-driven strategies and engage in long-short, net-long, net-short and capital structure arbitrage trades. Our investment focus is on Master Limited Partnerships (MLPs), Energy Trusts, Utilities, Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), Financials, BDCs, High Dividend Stocks and Business Trusts. We target investments in multiple sectors and strategies at various levels of the capital structure that are expected to have low correlation to one another and to broader equity and debt markets.
Private Equity / Merchant Banking
The COR Merchant Banking team seeks to make both control and non-control sponsor investments in public or private companies primarily in the energy, financial and real estate sectors. Recent transactions:

Private Lending
COR Capital Corporation is in registration to form a publicly traded business development company (BDC) focusing on the capital needs of small- to mid-sized businesses and their owners. As a direct lender, COR targets private debt transactions ranging in size from $1 million to $10 million. We seek to generate an attractive and stable total return from significant current income and capital gains, and to preserve capital through disciplined credit underwriting and risk management. Our primary objective in structuring our private debt transactions is to protect our principal through well-collateralized loans secured by the income, property and tangible assets of the borrower as well as their principals. Our transactions are generally structured to seek returns based on elements of both equity and fixed-income investments.
